Happy Tiki Guy

My husband and I call this fella "Happy Tiki Guy" -- he's sort of the mascot of Disney's Polynesian. If you visit this gorgeous resort, you'll see Happy Tiki Guy on countless signs. Looking at him just makes me smile, so, for my first attempt at plush-making, I decided to try making him.

Was I successful? ...well, not really; I screwed up about a zillion times, and the final product is too rough for my liking (especially the bottom, where I had to rip out a ton of stitches and never got it looking right after that), but I did learn a lot, and I plan on giving Happy Tiki Guy another shot once the sight of a needle and thread doesn't make me shudder. I either need to learn to sew or invest in a sewing machine.

Size: nine and a half inches tall; materials: felt, a pillowcase, and Poly-Fil.
