Yay! I have to say, it was fun to try out a lot of different facial expressions.
And YES! Oh, I'm so ridiculously excited; I can't wait to see the Danger Girls back on my LCS' shelf! I miss JSC's art for the interiors, of course, but I'm intrigued by the more realistic, gritty feel they're going for here... I'm looking forward to seeing it colored! Thanks for the link.
i'd love to see you do some of the original promos JSC did for danger girl. i'm not sure if they got printed in the super deluxe edition, i know they are not in the regular trade. i'll have to pull out my danger girl sketch book to see if they are in there. uncharted 2 looks good so far. i'm so behind in my gaming, i still have to beat uncharted 1, eep!
with the amount of photos you've been doing, i'd say there's no excuses for him not doing DG interiors! unless of course it's to finish wildsiderz...
Are you referring to the two-page spread that starts out, "'Danger Girl' is loaded with girls! Not just ANY girls... these foxes are international spies! And they're packin' HEAT!", etc.?
If so, I grabbed two of the panels from that and posted them to Facebook on Valentine's Day -- the "Don't worry, ladies, we didn't forget about you... 'Danger Girl' also has romance! But not TOO much, guys!" part, with Abbey punching Johnny Barracuda in the face. I love that promo!
But if not, you'll have to let me know which ones you're talking about! I have the original trade, the deluxe version, and the sketchbook (which is where I got the inspiration for some of these facial expression photos), so just gimme a page number.
And yes, definitely check out "Uncharted"! I love "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune," but "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" is even better. The platforming/puzzles/shooting aspects are all balanced out a bit more, the writing's even more fun than in the first one, and Chloe is a stellar addition to the cast. I would recommend playing through the first one, though, simply *because* the sequel is a step up; it would feel weird going back to "Drake's Fortune" after "Among Thieves."
As for my "Danger Girl" photos, LOL! I'm almost embarrassed at the number of Abbey Chase pictures I've taken and uploaded in the past year. I always wonder if J. Scott Campbell shakes his head when he sees them: "Oh, jeez, Jess is at it AGAIN. Doesn't she have anything else to do?"
i totally missed your posting since FB changed their view options around. yeah the ones i'm talking about are from the DG sketchbook, the load screens from the video game., "frozen assets" "dangerous discovery" and the others, crack me up.
lol you'll have to dress your hubby up like the barracuda and do some of those promos. just remember, everyday is a turtleneck day for the barracuda!
yeah i'm a big fan of third person adventure games, uncharted, assassins creed, devil may cry, batman:AA... just wish i have more time to play. i've heard that Uncharted 2 was a ton better, story and playing wise, which is impressive since most games don't like to rock the boat to much if they have a good thing started. i'm a stickler for finishing games that i start before getting more so eventually.
hey don't be embarrassed, your passionate about something you like. i wish more people were like that. thats the kind of passion that gets things started!
Oh, I love those! I posted a wallpaper I made from one of my Abbey photos and in one version I actually used the text title graphic from the first level's loading screen: "Danger Girl Abbey Chase in Rumble in the Jungle"! I wish there were larger versions; they'd make fun prints.
And yes, one of these days I'm gonna get a good Barracuda wig and a turtleneck and drag Brandon in front of the camera. I've already recruited him for Nathan Drake... why not Johnny B.?
Let me know what you think when you get around to "Uncharted 2"! The third one is coming out in November, so you'd better hurry up and finish the first two!
